Methods For Treating Gynecomastia

Liposuction and excision are the two ways for dealing with male Gynecomastia. In the time before liposuction, the only way to treat gynecomastia was to cut out the tissue, normally using a small cut going about half way around the edge of the areola. When there was a small gynecomastia mass under the areola this worked very well. When there fat was spread throughout the chest, it didn't work very well. Liposuction is very good for getting rid of fat, because fat is soft and is easily removed through the liposuction instrument (like a tube). Because stiff and glandular gynecomastia tissue can't be taken out through liposuction; it needs to be cut out.
